Accessibility Statement
This statement applies to content published on the www.tlse.co.uk website.
Statement prepared on 1 May 2026. Last reviewed: May 2026. Website last tested: May 2026.
Using this website
This website is run by Technical Lift Services Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech-recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. The page typeface is set in a clear, geometric sans-serif and body text uses a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against its background.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- Interactive coverage map. The Leaflet map on the home page is operable with a keyboard (arrow keys to pan, Tab to step between markers, Enter to open a marker), but some screen-reader users may find map navigation harder than reading text. A full text list of all coverage areas is always shown alongside the map as a non-visual alternative.
- Embedded PDFs. Some resources and certificates are provided as PDF files. Older PDFs may not be fully tagged for screen-reader use. We will provide an alternative format on request — see the contact details below.
- Third-party content. A small number of third-party widgets (for example, an external security verification badge) may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We are reviewing these.

Reporting accessibility problems with this website
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you find any problems that are not listed on this page, or you think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please tell us by email or phone using the contact details above. We aim to acknowledge your report within five working days and to propose a fix or alternative within ten working days.
Enforcement procedure
We are a private-sector business and are not bound by the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. However, we voluntarily follow the same standard and we welcome the same complaints process. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which provides free advice in England, Scotland and Wales under the Equality Act 2010. In Northern Ireland the equivalent body is the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
Technical information about this website's accessibility
Technical Lift Services Ltd is committed to making its website accessible, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
- Interactive map (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.1.1, 2.5.7). The Leaflet map is keyboard operable and exposes marker names to assistive technology, but the map itself remains a visual presentation. We mitigate this by always rendering a parallel text list of all service areas.
- Legacy PDFs (WCAG 1.1.1, 1.3.1). A small number of older certificates may not be fully tagged. We will replace them as part of our ongoing review.
- Third-party security badge widget (WCAG 4.1.2). We have limited control over the HTML this widget injects.
We are actively working through the WCAG 2.2 AA criteria and will update this statement as items are resolved.
What we are doing to improve accessibility
We routinely audit the website against WCAG 2.2 AA, including automated checks (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing on each release. Identified issues are tracked in our development backlog and prioritised against severity and reach.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 1 May 2026. It was last reviewed in May 2026. The website was last tested in May 2026 using a combination of:
- automated tooling (axe-core, Lighthouse)
- manual keyboard-only navigation of all top-level pages and forms
- assistive-technology smoke tests using NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS / iOS)
- colour-contrast verification against WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds
The pages tested included the home page, services, lift types, sectors, compliance, insights, the booking and contact forms, and all legal pages.
